Review of Live and Let Die (1973) by Trent C — 04 Apr 2009
Bond movies are products of their time. Blaxploitation was big in 1973, so we have a blaxploitation film that has Bond in it. It's just an okay Bond film with Roger Moore still needing to grow into the character a bit, which he'd perfect in Spy Who Loved Me.
Jane Seymour is a great Bond girl, and this one movie has probably the greatest speedboat chase ever filmed. Clifton James steals the show as Sheriff J. W. Pepper.
