Review of Live and Let Die (1973) by Colton M — 30 Sep 2012
Roger moore makes his entrance in the series in this attempt at a Bond blaxloitation film. Despite this rather odd attempt the film works extremely well and features a great cast including Jane Seymour and Yaphet Kotto.
The film features David Hedison as the most memorable portrayor of Felix Leiter and Clifton James as the hysterical Sheriff J.W. Pepper (who seems entirely out of place in a Bond film), but the boat chase sequence in the Louisiana bayou is truly amazing despite all the sight gags.
The alligator farm and the voodoo scenes all cause this to be one of the most unique Bond films, but also one of the most dated due to the now seemingly tacky clothing.
