Review of Little Women (1994) by Anya T — 15 Aug 2012
I have a hard time deciding which version of Little Women I like best, but this one was very well done with a great cast. They did get into some of the family's strange religious beliefs which I thought would have been better left out.
Yeah, the feminist feel comes through in this one, too. But the acting is good and Winona Ryder captures the essence of Jo very well. I also liked Claire Danes and Christian Bale. But the winning factor for me is the soundtrack.
It is so perfect. It ties the scenes together so well and I just loved listening to it. I still do as I bought the CD. I used to hear it all the time being played for other films' previews.
