Review of Little Voice (1998) by Haley B — 26 Apr 2009
Why could people have not have the self-reclusive Little Voice (LV) alone to live in her own little happy world? Ah, because we could not then have had a crazed movie full of abusive and bizarre relationships!
The premise was interesting. The subplots irritating, unless you like the Mommy Dearest sort of thing..
I thought that Jane Horrocks played her role in superior fashion and had no idea that she was so gifted in the vocalist department. She did nearly perfect imitations of Judy Garland and other vocalists of the day.
This is one to see if you don't mind feeling a bit disturbed... Worth a Netflix rental. This is outside the box. Something just a little different. Sit down, it is story time.
