'The Little Shop of Horror' is a 1986/1987 Remake to the 1960 cult following B-Movie (which saw Young Jack Nicholson) of the same name Movie title & was remade 26 years later (by this Movie), which the remake is an amazing update to the original, while being a powerful musical (in my eyes) and having seen the hit musical on stage 'The Little Shop of Horrors Musical' in September 2009. The Storyline/Plot of the film is about Seymour Krelborn is a nerdy orphan working at Mushnik's, a flower shop in urban Skid Row. He harbors a crush on fellow co-worker Audrey Fulquard, and is berated by Mr. Mushnik daily. One day as Seymour is seeking a new mysterious plant, he finds a very mysterious unidentified plant which he calls Audrey II. The plant seems to have a craving for blood and soon begins to sing for his supper. Soon enough, Seymour feeds Audrey's sadistic dentist boyfriend to the plant and later, Mushnik for witnessing the death of Audrey's ex. Will Audrey II take over the world or will Seymour and Audrey defeat it?. The Movie Tagline is "Don't feed the plants" Which you will know by watching this aswome Horror/Romance/Black Comedy/Sci-Fi/Musical film. The Film was sort at the Pinewood Studios in England, where a downtown set, complete with overhead train track, was constructed. The film was produced on a budget of US$30 million, in contrast to the original 1960 film, which, according to Roger Corman, only cost $30,000.The film's original 23-minute ending, based on the musical's ending, was rewritten and reshot after receiving negative reviews from test audiences and has never been seen since besides black-and-white work print footage and no sound (I've seen it on YouTube and it's not too bad, but like me I like the happy ending movie and the mystery of what that new planet in the garden going to do, should be more fun for the audience, which it was for me).

The Film was also nominated for two Academy Awards of; Best Visual Effects & Best Song (which was foe the song "Mean Green Mother from Outer Space" love that song it really stays in may head) and It was also nominated for two Golden Globes: Best Motion Picture - Comedy/Musical & Best Original Score - Motion Picture (Miles Goodman), while being in top of critics and audience polls of that year and has ever since. The Film Poster is fanatics it shows the four main leads of the film and the cute tiny planet, but don't be fooled by its cuteness it an retro 80's poster & The TV spot & Trailer of the film sings to you with great bits of showing what the film is like and loved seeing the trailer for the first time and still do now its ace, also love the DVD cover.

The Film is likely of the adaptation of the Off-Broadway musical hit and a remake from the original 1960 short film is Utley brilliant, its special effect, make-up, design & it well made man-eating planet is a triumphed of its time its excellent in every way, the movie has genius song, dance & a killer storyline/plot (for its time), it's a full blown, wild & witty musical/Black Comedy film for its time and generation to come, it can be freaky, weirdo, have jumpy & scary parts in the film but it's a loveable Movie in my heart & to my family, I love the voice of Audrey II by Levi Stubbs its fucking aswome voice of an evil planet & the singing to, while having a great title, Colour of the Movie title and a great telling of what going to happen I the film at the start, love the texture, design, theme, style & especial the music & the singing of all of the great songs in this prefect Remake movie, The Movie has very powerful & addicted song & story-telling of an amazing Remake long Update film that is the heart & soul of my love for Movie and the genre of Horror, Romance, Musical, Comedy & Sci-Fi is absolutely charming & brilliant take on the genre which is out of this world 80's film. The Movie has very sing-able tune that sick in your head after you watch (well for me anyway), it's the most perfected & mind-blowing Musical Movie ever made especial in the 80's, it's the most retro film ever made in its genre & type of element, the Movie is outstanding & magical price of cinematic film, it's funny, heart-warming, amazing songs, singing & acting & can be emotionally, the film can be horrific & scare at times and is the most entertaining Movie of that year (1986/1987) & the decade (1980-1990), with good & terrific extras off the DVD.

The Movie was made on a budget of $30,000,000, while grossing a total at the Box Office of $247,934,754 which was a huge success for a remake like this and was still a surprise hit on VHS, DVD sales & rentals. The movie was critical acclaimed by critics, while audiences, filmgoers & Fans alike (of the short Original, actors and the director of the Movie) were also critical acclaimed for it unique style, setting, theme and well acted (for their roles) and there singing/songs. The Movie has been distributed by The Geffen Company (made prefect 80's film) & Warner Bros. (worldwide form both companies).

The cast line-up was a huge effect on me because it was a perfect Remake Musical cast line-up, it was a great choice of a star cast with picking the right ones for each role as they played there character all the way through and really inspired me with the singing and acting it's a huge influence on me. The cast are Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene (Has a sweet & cute voice with a talented voice & acting), Vincent Gardenia, Steve Martin (is soo funny at his role in this film with good singing from him as a brilliant funny & painful dentist)and Levi Stubbs as the voice of Audrey II (is the best person to be the voice of the evil planet) and in cameo roles by John Candy & Bill Murray, also the three very talented black singer that were out of this world. The now famous director Frank Oz has worked for his success very well and I respect him as he really made this Remake in to something special that touched my heart, gave me hope, keep the characters and the whole setting from the Original to the Remake, made a massive special to the fans update into a longer movie and will be a cult classic in my eyes forever.

Overall the Movie is the most outrageous Musical/Black Comedy film of the decade (1980-1990) and of the year (1986/1987), it's the best gem & favourite film of mine, the movie is romantic, funny & a fabulous musical. This Movie is a different MUST-SEE before you die its one of my favourite all-time Movie that I've watched soo far, it different for teenagers, adults & old people, while kids can watch it but maybe abit too scare for them. The Movie has got great comedic jokes with its black humour, perfect Sci-Fi, romance, Comedy, Horror & Musical with the tune & song with great background & sound of the film, I love the little evil bad baby planets & don't know if it's a male or female planets, but it's cool and I love the ending as the big evil alien planet dies and Seymour survivors & him and Audrey get married & life in the little happy place outside the downtown of s Road, while the three ladies walk past and show the little new Alien planet that smile while then ending of a mystery of what will happen. Sooo lv it!!!

(I really Truly love this film what more can u ask for a Big talking Giant Plant and Steve Martin as the evil densest (Which he is very funny and aswome in the film) It's got a great cast and was directed really well in the studio and in the end of the 80's. It's one off the Best Comedy/Sic-Fi/Thriller/Mystery/Romance and Musicals in the late 80's films Industry and one of the clever Visual Effects of the late 80's Ellen Greene, Vincent Gardenia and Rick Moranis are truly amazing the acting is prefect and the Three women that sing all the time are brilliant and the songs are very catchy and really good songs Lv It!!!).
