I can remember my friends all watching this movie when we were in high school (even though it was already a decade old), and the girls proclaimed that it was a must see for girls growing up as it gave an honest view of losing ones virginity.

I watched it and was unimpressed. I never knew losing your virginity would bring you closer to your mother - creepy. Mediocre at best.
