Review of Little Children (2006) by Will B — 26 Sep 2010
An incredibly dark "dramedy" that many will find too uncomfortable to stomach. The storyline is top notch and the ending is gut-wrenching, yet poignant. The acting in this film is exceptional.
If you're a fan of Patrick Wilson or Jackie Earle Haley, then this is a must-see. Little Children is a mischievous critique of suburban life. If films were related, then American Beauty would be the role-model brother, and Little Children would be its evil twin (which is locked in a cold, damp basement and fed only fish heads).
