Review of Little Children (2006) by Mirthe M — 21 Jul 2009
As American Beauty was a hit, every Oscar season we get a lot of dramas about the fall of American suburban family life. But aside from the cliché-ridden narrator, this is quite a good one. These sort of movies rise and fall with their characters and this has a fine arsenal of memorable ones with great character-actors playing them.
Performances make this truly feel real and touching, even if this isn't too subtle. As you guessed, the Little Children in the title are actually the adults.
