Critics do not like this movie, BUT VIEWERS DO!! This is a beautifully made film. A great story of how a family struggles while their father/husband is called away to fight in Japan during WW2. This movie deals with heavy subjects such as war, fear, death, stereotypes, friendship, courage, love, and faith.
If you think Faith based films should be more like Evan Almighty and SisterAct, do not watch Little Boy, it is a highly entertaining tear jerker which could be about any modern day family dealing with a Dad/Mom away fighting the Middle East.
Faith does come into play in that situation. Well written, great cast, beautifully shot.
