I can't believe I'd never seen this little gem of a film before. Dustin Hoffman is awesome playing the same character from age 15 to 121. Reminded me of The World According to Garp and Forrest Gump, but with a very interesting American historical editorial voice.
Funny, poigniant, sad and exciting. Great story of a man alone in his empathy for both clashing worlds. Enjoyed watching this one with my Dad who has quoted one line to me since I was a small child; "It's a good day to die.
