Review of Lion (2016) by Deepak M — 05 Jul 2017
It's unusual for a film to be heart-breaking and heart-warming at the same time, but Lion does just that. This is a gripping drama with powerful performances from the entire cast. My one complaint is the pacing.
If the filmmakers would have trimmed 10 - 20 minutes out, specifically during the second act, the movie would have been stronger for it. However, this story is one that needed to be told, and I'm glad that I got to see it played out on the screen.
