Review of Lion (2015) by Dean E — 22 Feb 2017
An extraordinary true story of a young Indian boy who goes missing, gets adopted in Australia, and uses Google Earth to try to locate his home and his birth family. Wonderful performances from Dev Patel and Nicole Kidman.
The payoff is superb, but it drags a bit in the second act which keeps it from being mentioned among the very best films of the year, but it is still a heartwarming and wonderful journey.
