Review of Can You Ever Forgive Me? (2018) by Dean E — 15 Jan 2019
This is Melissa McCarthy at her finest; forget the screwball comedies. Quiet, reflective, witty and real. Throw in a compelling supporting performance from the always wonderful Richard E. Grant and you have a winner.
McCarthy manages to make an incredibly unlikable woman not only someone you can stand to watch, you may even start to root for her. Not an easy feat.
