Wonderful story, and a marvelous cast. Dev Patel never looked so good, and they somehow made Nicole Kidman look like an average frumpy Mom! The child actor was devastatingly good. His performance is utterly haunting, and I can't seem to shake it, weeks after seeing the film.
Rooney Mara didn't have a whole lot to do here, but she made the poster. I guess that says something about the way they want to market the film. Too bad, because it's beautifully written and acted by Dev Patel and Nicole Kidman.
