Garth Davis swooped in to seize 2016 with a movie that brought all the feels. Try not to well up as Saroo, a young boy from a small Indian village, becomes separated from his brother via unexpected train travel, facing the terrors of Calcutta alone.
As a young adult in Tasmania, he must reconcile his love for the Australian couple who adopted him and the sudden pull to find his biological family back in India.
