Review of Lincoln (2012) by Alex A — 27 Jul 2013
An incredibly engaging depiction of Lincoln and his team to guarantee the passing of the thirteenth amendment; to abolish slavery in the U.S. Day-Lewis, as expected, delivers an incredible performance, but all the credit shouldn't be given to Day-Lewis, as every person in this film delivers performances that are to be admired; not one person is a miscast.
Yes, it is slow-paced and heavy in dialogue, but that's to be expected when creating a movie based on the topic at hand. One of the best films of the year and needs to be admired for the terrific drama that it is.
