Review of Lincoln (2012) by Cash00716 — 12 May 2014

I couldn't catch on to all the hype on this one. I do not enjoy politics but I love film, obviously this one wasn't for me but I watched it anyway. I found it far to slow and extremely boring. I did enjoy some of the humour the script brought to the role to make it lighter but it still wasn't for me.

Whilst I didn't enjoy it Day-Lewis was mesmerising as Lincoln and brought such character and life to his role. The style and detail to the whole movie was bittersweet. I cannot comment on how politically correct the movie was but it was delivered in a way that was understandable to all.

Unfortunately there were too many drawn out scenes to make this enjoyable.
