Review of Lincoln (2012) by Honore T — 04 Aug 2014
If only the curtain came down when the camera captures President Lincoln walking away. Alas, characteristic of Spielberg these days, he just doesn't seem to know when to end a good thing. With that said, I enjoyed this movie very, very much.
DDL is perfect as always and the 2+ hours of political machinations was fascinating. From graft and corruption, to backroom arm-bending and moralizing, to vision and leadership, we see that doing the right thing requires creativity and courage above all.
For anyone who has to manage, or simply deal with, people this movie is a treasure trove of sound advice in character and leadership development.
