Review of Limelight (1952) by Les E — 29 Jun 2008
Masterpiece. The script is one of the best ever. A drunk former great comedian saves the life of a young dancer. Their beautiful innocent love takes her to the top as he fades. Chaplin is brilliant and if this was remade today it would still be a great, which shows true genius.
This is going straight into my top 10.
