Review of Limelight (1952) by Simon M — 22 Jan 2009
Chaplin's swan song. It's not nearly as great as his classics like City Lights and The Kid, but it's still heartfelt, and Chaplin showed he COULD play someone besides the Tramp. Also, his big scene with Buster Keaton is a slapstick work of art that has to be seen by EVERYBODY.
