Review of Lilo & Stitch (2002) by Ace T — 01 Nov 2012
Lilo & Stitch has a very subtle way of telling how a dis-functional family is trying to enjoy life when an additional member is added to their family. Lilo wishes to adopt a dog but turns out to be none other than Stitch an experiment gone wrong and is being chased by the Galactic Empire.
Between looking after her younger sister Lilo, Nani tries to live the life that was of a teenager and yet still be the motherly figure for Lilo...
The Hawaiian culture is also something I've found to be quite fascinating as well. Especially their word for family... "Ohana" and the love and meaning that is associated with it.
