Starting off, I just want to flat out say that this movie is amazing and maybe even near perfection. Everything is so well-made and has so much heart. Most of the film's deep messages and emotions are from the writing which is the highlight of the movie.

For Disney to portray such raw human emotions that can relate to so many people no matter when they watch this movie. The relationship between Lilo and Nani is just so raw and emotional that you have no choice but to feel for what they are going through.

But then to balance it with the fun musical numbers and kooky jokes makes this film even more entertaining. Even though I loved the writing a lot, I think Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois went a bit over the line when it came to portraying Nani's work life.

It started to get a bit depressing whenever she couldn't get a job and brought down the mood of the film for a small number of scenes. I understand that they wanted to push the narrative that she was struggling in life, but I think it could've been brought down a notch.

However, that doesn't mean I didn't love the characters in this film. All of the characters are so fun and light up on the screen. They all also have that sense of relatable aspects to them. Even the aliens can be relatable at times which made me like them a lot more.

Lilo and Nani fight just like typical siblings, but always makeup in the end. Both sisters have that sense of always wanting to do the right thing but never can portray it in the right way which makes this movie even better.

If I had to nitpick this movie some more, I would say that the animation brings down the film a bit. It's nice, but some scenes look a bit cheap and it doesn't have that "Disney" look. What I mean by that is that if you compare this movie to previous films that came out a few years before, it doesn't have those impressive lighting effects and stunning backgrounds.

However, the story pulls you in so much that those problems start to fade into the background. Disney Animation knocked it out of the park with Lilo & Stitch. Its heart-tugging story and amazingly developed characters make for an amazing watch.

Almost everyone on the planet can relate to this movie in some way. It captures the essence of Ohana in just 85 entertaining minutes. Read more reviews like this at postcreditreviews.
