Review of Lilo & Stitch (2002) by Joshua H — 17 Feb 2014
Watching Disney movies force you to rethink what you believe an animated movie is about. You might think that they are all just fun and games, and purely kids movies. You would be correct in one sense: yes they are kids movies.
However, movies like "Lilo & Stitch" also provide quite a bit of enjoyment for the adult viewer too. You see, when Stitch is tearing everything apart and slowly developing into a caring creature, you feel the pain of the movie, just as much as Lilo does.
And even though you know there will be resolution, you still cannot help but to become entangled in the plot. You want Lilo & Stitch to succeed just as much as a child does. However, where a child might not be able to understand the magnitude of the situation, you do.
Almost every Disney movie, while targeted towards the kids, always has a little something for the grown-ups as well and this is no exception. A solid Disney effort.
