Review of Lilo & Stitch (2002) by William A — 30 Aug 2014
The real Disney classics (Beauty and The Beast, Cinderella, to name a few) are head and shoulders above this Hawaii-set sci-fi comedy. However, Lilo and Stitch has enough edgy, fervent charm and humour to succeed.
The beautiful, traditional hand-drawn animation is refreshing to see and the Elvis Presley inspired soundtrack is of course outstanding. It may be one of the more wacky entries from the Disney canon but that doesn't change the fact that it is funny, sassy and original.
