5th of the Competition Era.

The Watercolor backgrounds looked really nice and fit so well with the movie's setting. The designs of the aliens and their spaceships and such were really nice, a lot looking like underwater creatures yet still having good designs, better then most aliens in recent memory. The humans are designed well enough and can stand out but they're not as interesting to look as the aliens(no surprise), they have a nice look that is different then the other Disney humans. It's cute while looking edgier then most Disney films. The cg meshes really well with the surroundings, in fact it's probably the best use in any Disney animated film, it just looks too perfect.

There's not really much songs in film aside from some great Elvis songs which are well placed and fit with the film greatly.

The aliens in the film are really great characters and fun to watch. Stitch by himself could have made this film fun, voiced by the director of the film Chris Sanders, Stitch is one of the more enjoyable Disney protagonists to watch. Lilo on the other hand is okay, nothing bad but she was just not all that interesting and pales in comparison to Stitch by a lot, she was voiced by Daveigh Chase. Pleakly and Jumba are actually a more interesting team to watch then Lilo and Stitch( keep in mind Stitch is great but his pairing with Lilo is what is considered to be weaker.) who could have also carried a film by themselves, voiced greatly by Kevin McDonald and David Ogden Stiers respectively. The villain Gantu is probably the weakpoint here as he doesn't provide much, voiced by famed voice actor Kevin Michael Richardson.

"Lilo and Stitch" has a pretty solid story. It's pace is fast but fits with the film, and it only get slower early on when none of the aliens are around, but thats of no surprise. It's major bump is the final act when Gantu becomes the villain, granted it's not the most surprising thing, it just comes out of nowhere. Gantu is supposed to be an officer yet he has no restraints or remorse over kidnapping a child, nothing early on indicated he would go that far to get Stitch, yet he does. It just feels forced into the film just to have a final chase scene.

"Lilo and Stitch" is a solid film with story and character bumps, still it's worth a watch and is a good Disney film.
