Review of Like Sunday, Like Rain (2014) by E. A — 08 Feb 2016

This movie kept popping up on my Netflix "You may like this, because you liked blah blah" the title looked pretentious so I ignored it for days. Meester provoked me to watch it because of my Gossip Girl obsession. SO glad I decided to watch. I'll admit the first 15 min are slow, but the story was truly great. I almost gave 4.5 stars for only one reason, the kiss in the end made me a little uncomfortable. I know it was innocent, but I just didn't agree with that part. Then after reading other viewers take on it, I understood it a little better. Some felt her reason for leaving was that she had grown too close to Reggie. She knew he had feelings for her, and maybe she even felt some of her own romantic feelings. She never acted on them (until the brief goodbye kiss) but they really had a "kindred spirit" relationship. Overall I gave 5 stars because I love the indie vibe, the child star's genuine feel, and Meester's performance. I would highly recommend.
