Review of Lights Out (2016) by Michael W — 07 Aug 2016
Ugh! Starts out strong! A ghost stalks a guy at work, and we have spooky special effects. Wow! Hits the audience hard at first. Lights Out creates a like able, but dysfunctional character Rebecca. One understands Rebecca after the audience meets Rebecca's mother.
(There is a hint of social commentary of the missing male in the house) Lights Out then becomes another evil spirit attached to the victims movies. The characters have to discover the past and how to ex-spell the evil.
A by the numbers horror film with a few good scary moments. Okay to watch 2 stars.
