Review of Lights Out (2016) by Allen D — 26 Aug 2016
This was a very good movie, a lot of fun with a lot of good scares that actually made sense. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat and the main characters are likable. They (mostly) do not make stupid judgment calls, but I understand some actions are required to move the story forward even though in real life it will never make sense to separate in a scary situation! The movie does an excellent job of playing on people's fear of the dark and the bad things that can happen in the dark.
I think this is a smart movie and it's OK that everything is not explained in the end because paranormal or supernatural doesn't make sense anyway, or at least it shouldn't make sense to normal people, so the ending was a satisfying ending for me.
Of course, it may not actually be the end of the story for this family.
