Review of Lights Out (2016) by Stanley C — 18 Apr 2017
Lights Out's loud shadow jump scares can't make up for thin storytelling, flat characterization, and the absence of a script that makes each scene not look too identical to each other. The only scenes I liked were Diana killing the 2 idiot police officers and when Sophie finally stands up to Diana at the end, having had enough of Diana creeping around to kill her family and tear her mind apart.
Don't Breathe was a considerably better horror flick.
