Review of Lifeboat (1944) by Louis D — 27 Feb 2008
This World War II-related study of group politics, via a range of different characters representative of various socio-economic backgrounds and moral codes (including a Nazi), also makes for a phenomenal examination of cinematic space given that the camera never exits the lifeboat.
The film's performances and bold decisions put Lifeboat far ahead of its time.
