Review of Lifeboat (1944) by Ross L — 18 Aug 2009
How does Hitchcock make a movie about shipwreck survivors on a lifeboat interesting for an hour-and-a-half?! I would be famous if I knew the answer to that. Damn, if I had one drop of that guys talent. This was a very intriguing film based around the development of each characters views and their changing opinions in the face of death. Not much of the old Hitchcock twist (although there are some), but just as enthralling. It does bring to light the idea of fighting an enemy that is relentless in their ideology. Very current themes.
2009 Movies: 94.
