Review of Life with Father (1947) by Mitsu C — 08 Jul 2007
I'm a whore for a good flick from years gone by...and this was pretty good. I feel like this would be a movie that folks would see and then forget about. It's from the late 40's, which is why I feel sort of honored to have watched it.
This movie makes me wonder if I was the only person in the entire worlds who has watched this movie this week...and I think that I probably am. Hooray for me! Seriously though, it's old and the sound isn't all that great, but it's a great story and the acting is almost as pristine as that of other 40's movies.
If you're a whore for a good old school movie, then you may appreciate this....otherwise, go bowling or something. Maybe go to the home of someone you've held a grudge against to confess and apologize.
Cause I know a few people who would give the old, "Well..I gotta get going...got a big day of work tomorrow" line about 5 minutes into this movie. I've seen better, and I've seen worse.
I went' to the beach @ Golden Gardens today, here in Seattle...AMAZING. That is all.
