Review of Life of Brian (1979) by Dimetre A — 18 Feb 2010

I'd bet if a roomful of uptight religious fanatics watched this film even they wouldn't be able to keep themselves from smiling at some point in watching it. It is hilarious in many senses, not only is the movie constantly funny but afterwords once you realize the multiple concepts the Python gang was poking fun at, you can't help but smirk and come to see the true genius of the movie.

Though I don't think it's quite as memorable as The Holy Grail, it's definitely wittier. And how can anyone not like the ending? Only the Monty Python crew would have the coconuts to do what they did.

It's too bad no other comedic troupe as ever even entered the realm of funny these guys ascended to.
