Review of Life of Brian (1979) by Alexander P — 29 Oct 2011

Watched again probably for the tenth time and even now the film doesn't lose its edge. Clearly a comedy that makes fun around religion not of religion it is hilarious how much controversy this film sees.

Clearly as Jesus is speaking on the mound Brian is not supposed to be Jesus - Brian is watching him... yes there are a lot of jokes about religion but they are all aimed at making the viewer laugh not an attack on any sect or creed.

A superb comedy and a fun film - it's a shame a lot of people can't see it for what it is, not a religious commentary it's a comedy.
