A weak film and effort on all parts. If anything, all that I came to understand is that Ebert was a weak man who failed to show the understanding that he had when reviewing films, in real life! For one he never told his partner Gil that he loved him! Never! He didn't even visit the man on his deathbed.
He was stubborn, and mean to his wife. I don't know, honestly I left with a bitter taste towards the man. I must say that obviously I respect his movie reviews, I mean heck I'm writing one about him! Even so "Life Itself" is a reflection of a poor man who outside of movie reviews had little to offer.
