Review of Life Is Beautiful (1997) by Zack F — 06 Jul 2011
The first half of this Italian tragicomedy plays like a charming romantic comedy from the classic era, and then takes a dramatic twist bringing the film into an original modern tragedy. Roberto Benigni plays his role and directs the film with a perfectly charismatic hope that makes his character one of the most likeable and inspiring in film.
