Benigni's direction and performance in this movie is fantastic. Somehow you want to cry and laugh simultaneously with so many moments...it really was a feat. To somehow use the holocaust as the backdrop for a comedy.
..and succeed...is incredible. The movie is really well made, and quite enjoyable and sad.
