This was Hayden Christensen's first breakout movie role (although he filmed Star Wars - AOTC first), and what a performance! You kindof go out on a limb when your first scene introduces you to the movie world with a sexual taboo.
Kevin Kline and Krisitin Scott Thomas are brilliant and believeable in the intertwining of lover's past and redemption. I totally recommend it.
