Review of Life as a House (2001) by David C — 06 Jun 2009
Blegh. This film was chock full of people who annoy me. Kevin Kline annoys me. Mary Steenburgen annoys me. Hayden Christensen talks in ALL CAPS and annoys me. Jena Malone is one of my favs but plays a character who really annoys me.
Boone from Lost keeps getting freaky with Mary Steenburgen which is really annoying. I felt more comfortable with him hooking up with his sister. Bottom line is that while the film has a good message, it was trying to manipulate my emotions and it was doing it unsuccessfully.
It was like a hard R Lifetime movie. And there's just LOADS of uncomfortable-ness with that.
