Review of Life After Beth (2014) by Mirza Mohd S — 28 Sep 2014
Just when infinite number of zombie movies which come out almost every month & a set of TV shows indulging into the zombie mania, here comes another genre "ZomRomCom", just like last years Warm Bodies! This film is sure a lot funnier and more entertaining from beginning to end.
Their is not much that can be said as being an Indie film the production values are quite low & totally depends on the performances of Dane DeHaan (the most awesome actor this generation), & the always delightful John C.
Reilly and Molly Shannon. Aubrey Plaza does good work with her usual deadpan line readings and there's some hilarious scenes with her spastic rage and violence.. Mathew C Gruber (Criminal Minds) has the most scene stealing moments, he is just hilarious!! Overall Life After Beth is a small, lightweight film, occasionally funny but tonally awkward; there just isn't enough here to carry a feature film!
