This amazing and powerful film deserved Best Foreign Language Oscar (now that I've seen it.) I'm moved to my core by the profound courage of the 12-year old central character, that actress' off-the-charts performance, and the depth of the humanity that is illuminated through this story and the subtle elegance (amidst the rugged circumstances) of how exquisitely it is told.
I could not recommend this DVD more highly.
