Review of Life (2017) by Compi24 — 27 Mar 2017
Is this movie basically "Alien's" conceptual twin? Pretty much. But underneath all of those superficial parallels to Ridley Scott's 1979 sci-fi classic is a more grounded and timely piece than you'd expect.
Featuring solid performances from every actor involved and a bevy of creative uses in store for the claustrophobic setting at hand, "Life" marks a relative high note in the careers of director Daniel Espinosa and co-writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
And, though, the ending kind of bummed me out, I would still say the overall experience was a lot more fun that I had ever anticipated.
