Review of Life (2017) by Fearless Dreamer T — 29 Mar 2017
I read some of the reviews and I do agree about 60% through the film was a bit predictable, before that it was a very intense sci-fi horror. This is NOT an obvious alien rip off IMO, if you are a person that is intrigued by biology and possible E.
T. theories you'll probably like this movie. I'm a lifetime sci-fi fan, and love Star Trek, X-Files, Alien, Fringe, etc. I think the likability changes for this movie depending on what kind of interests you have.
I liked the creativeness of what if we find life that we cannot kill, that's not a usual idea in sci-fi horror. Also, I liked the ability to problem solve for it's own existence..we see that in life on Earth.
What I didn't like was the cast not taking real life measures to isolate or kill the object (Ryan Reynolds character going in after his coworker, and not heading for deep space earlier). All in all I think it was a great film as a one installment.
