Review of Life (2017) by Lauren S — 08 Apr 2017

This movie was not my favorite, it lacked imagination and I felt like nothing really happened. The two main female characters were so much alike in how they looked and acted that you were never sure which character you were looking at.

Whoever cast them clearly had a thing for Russian brunnettes. Ryan Reynolds while usually charming and fun to watch was utterly annoying to the point where you were kind of happy they killed him off. Personally I would have liked to see the alien do more then just eat and grow, there was so much potential there for it to evolve and corrupt the computer systems or something instead of just acting like a star fish with roid rage.

Gyllenhaal wasn't bad, I was actually impressed with his ability to try to make something decent out of such a crappy script.
