Review of Life (1999) by Ryan Gibbons — 07 Aug 2010
An Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence film, this is something that I would almost always shy away from. For two reasons, Martin Lawrence thinks he's funnier than he is, and Eddie Murphy just isn't funny anymore.
There's one difference, life is actually funny. I'll admit that it is not funny all the way through, however believe it or not, the story actually carries the film. It's not as dramatic as people say it is, it's sort of dramatic humor that makes it sort of anti-dramatic.
Hell, the ending is more Ambiguous than Inception.
