Review of Licorice Pizza (2021) by Livinmediocre — 12 Dec 2021
I really loved this movie a lot. Not my favorite PTA, it feels a bit messy for what we’re used to. Just like a lot of ideas were thrown together to make the film feel more like 70s LA than actually being used to better the film and understand the characters. That being said, they did a really great job of 70s LA. Loved the set designs as well as wardrobe, very very nice attention to details.
The soundtrack and cinematography were nothing short of stellar. And wow Cooper Hoffman and Alana Haim blew me way with their performances. Can’t wait to see them in more things, and Bradley Cooper went OFF as Jon Peters. Love them all.
Overall though I did really enjoy it, had a great time seeing this in a packed theater. Probably my favorite theater experience of the year!
