The movie is absolutely incredible. Alana and Cooper's acting debuts are tremendous. I'm not even that big of a movie person but this was amazing. It kept me entertained the full time (and I have ADHD!) The scenes are humorous and it's certainly true to the 70s, to me.
It might cover a 'taboo' topic but it's platonic by nature and the film explores it, not sexualizes it.
