Review of Leviathan (2014) by Phyllis D — 09 Jul 2016

I was disappointed by this movie not because it is a dark commentary on the continuing oppression and corruption of the Russian machine not so different from the Soviet regime. Perhaps, the preview made the movie seem different, zingier from what I ended up watching.

So, I suppose I naughtily pre-judged the movie based on the preview. The acting was superb, though, and that alone is worth a watch.
