Review of Letters to God (2010) by Anne S — 08 Apr 2010
This movie is among the most inspirational family films of all time! You owe it to yourself to go and feel the life-changing power of this story. The faith of this boy with cancer, the hope on his face, his deeply caring heart for every one of his friends and family members -- they're an example for us all! How can any of us complain about anything in our lives after seeing this little guy's amazing courage in the face of pain and exhaustion, which could so easily lead to a life filled with fear, anger, negativity, and depression.
Tyler lives and breathes the words of Randy Stonehill: "I'm gonna celebrate this heartbeat, cuz it just might be my last. Every day is a gift from the Lord on high, and they all go by so fast.
" Tyler realizes that God has actually given him a special gift that he can't help but share with everyone he knows -- a simple, heartfelt, love and trust in the One who made him. This is the most powerful story of the year on film, based on a true story, which gives it that much more real power to grab hold of our hearts and let its truths change the way we think about life, genuinely care for one another on this planet, and honor God with all that we say and do.
