Review of Letters from Iwo Jima (2006) by Robert I — 20 Jan 2013
Eastwood had a unique perspective of making two films in order to illustrate the facts that surrounded the Iwo Jima battle during the World War II. The first one (Flags of our fathers) referred to the American side, while this one refers to the Japanese side.
Although both films provide quite realistic and objective aspects of the battle, Letters managed to do a better job in captivating my interest.
